Last week, the German Discord server was once again subject to a discussion about several Guild Siege related topics. During this discussion, Game Master Piccolo let his tounge slip on a small hint concerning yesterday’s server maintenance. This hint saw him indirectly announcing an adjustment made to the Guild Siege.

His small teaser was primarily about the lives each participant of the Guild Siege is granted. Apparently, this was only a small part of the changes to come. We will be summarizing the changes for you in this Blog article.

Guild Siege two times per week

It has been sought after for so long: Guild Siege two times per week. Where, for the longest time, evasiveness had prevailed, it has suddenly been made possible. Starting this week, another Guild Siege – next to Saturday – will be taking place.

  • Server Yggdrasil (DE): Wednesday, 06:00 p.m. UTC (11:00 p.m. PST)
  • Server Mahtolle (FR): Wednesday, 06:00 p.m. UTC (11:00 p.m. PST)
  • Server Clockworks (EU): Wednesday, 06:00 p.m. UTC (11:00 p.m. PST)
  • Server Aibatt (US): Thursday, 12:30 a.m. UTC (Wednesday, 05:30 p.m. PST)

Furthermore, the Guild Siege on Saturday was moved to 10:00 p.m. UTC (03:00 p.m. PST) for the US Server Aibatt. This was done in order to optimize the Guild Siege for the timezone of American players.

Increased lives in Guild Siege

This is the topic the German Game Master Piccolo had already teased on the German FlyFF Discord server.

The lives of each participant have been raised from 6 to 10. This, too, was a change players had been wanting for a long time and has repeatedly been brought up as a suggestion.

Changes to the Guild Siege rewards

A second Guild Siege per week also implies double the amount of Guild Siege Coins being in circulation. To counteract this circumstance a little bit, an update has been made to the rewards amount and/or the necessary Guild Siege Coins.

Our conclusion

We believe the changes to be quite positive. The adjustments made to the rewards may not be received kindly by our rather capitalistic community, but other than that, long sought-after changes by the community have now been implemented. One can find words of praise for our favourite publisher for a change (even though it had to be brought up time and time again that PlayPark had received most of these changes a long time ago).

What are your thoughts on the changes made to the Guild Siege? Are you an active PvP player, looking forward to the second Guild Siege a week? Are you concerned that there might be a sudden flood of Guild Siege rewards? But, more importantly… have you ever taken notice of that strange guy who runs into Dekane Mine, opens all Roach Eggs and screams his own name? Let us know in the comments!
